starlets to pick up. ktvu allie rasmus live at sfo to tell us what is happening out there and what is expected to be one of the busiest days of the holiday season. >> reporter: that rainy weather could have an impact on your travel plans if you're flying in and out of sfo. so far so good. we checked and there are no cancellations or delays to report. it is really busy out here though. if you take a look behind us you can see the taxis and cars and shuttles lining up along the curb here unloading passengers as they prepare to check in for their flight. this is the peak travel day of the holiday season with 130,000 people expected to pass through sfo. an estimated two million people are expected to come through between now and january 6th. inside the terminal we kept monitoring the board. we've been here since 3:30 this morning. we keep checking and there have been no delays or cancellations in and out of sfo. everything is leaving on time. and no delayed arrivals either. a couple flights from the east coast are scheduled to arrive 10-15 minutes early. all of this could change later
for this growhouse. janine de la vega, ktvu channel 2 news. >>> and to the latest on san francisco muni. it's back up and running after a transformer problem shut down everything for hours. ktvu aalex savidge live at the -- ktvu's alex savidge is live at the van ness station. what do you know? >> reporter: well, right here on market street, i did an interview with the mta spokesperson, he came out here and updated the situation. he says computers who use subway systems can expect a smooth right. all of the issues has been resolved. he tells me all of their trains are running on their regular schedules. let me show you the scene inside the van ness station. all of the trains again moving this morning. there was a shutdown, though, last night. it was about 6:00 when the entire subway system stopped because of a blown transformer at the van ness station. crews had to work throughout the night to fix the problem. and then finally at 1:30 this morning, they had everybody up and running again. with all of the subways out of service. you can imagine it was a major hassle for tens of thousands of commuters.
just a few hours later. reporting live in san francisco, rita williams, ktvu channel 2 news. >> there are new developments tonight in the unusual case of a man and woman found bound and gagged in the middle of a san francisco street. david stevenson is live in san francisco where he learned more today about what happened to those two people before they were dumped out on the road david. >> the case stretches from san francisco but there's no clear motive. >> a warning for reporters to stay away hung outside a home this afternoon. it's where suspects tried to destroy evidence. >> this is a very disturbing case. it's a case that reads almost like a movie script. >> san francisco prosecutors today charged the 21 year old and 24 year old and 31 year old with murder and assault. investigators is a the group, along with 22 year old maryann assaulted 26 year old steven reid and believed to be 18 to 19 years old at the home sunday night. prosecutors said they were bound and gagged and reid shot in the neck. reid died later at san francisco general hospital. >> it was not a random ac

we are live in sunnyvale, ktvu, channel 2 news. >>> they are investigating a fatal shooting near the square. it happened yesterday afternoon near third and franklin streets. they found the man lying in the street. he died a short time later. officers say several people were in the area at the time and may have witnessed the shooting. >> well, we were parking and we heard some, it sounded like a firecracker going off. i was saying, whoa, i was thinking the noise we heard could have been gunshots. >> police say they have not made any arrests, it is the third shooting in oakland in a 24 hour peer. >>> zack san jose police stay a boy was stabbed during the christmas celebration. the event was in full swing. the teenager was stabbed in the chest and arm and his injuries are not life-threatening. they think three people ran from the scene and police are still searching for them. >>> new, this morning, at the stroke of midnight same sex couples started lining up for licenses when washington's law allowing gay marriage went into effect. they require a three day waiting period. so today i
